We made it! After years of planning, constructing, and testing we actually observed diffraction of atoms through single-layer graphene, a solid material. These are absolutely breath-taking results and we and the group of Toma Susi at the University of Vienna worked tirelessly over the last months to record the data, do the simulations, and finalize the manuscript.
